FURNITURE SERVICES

FENNIE+MEHL Architects is poised to offer extended design services and, in particular, assistance in the selection and specification of furniture items. In order to utilize all the elements of a project to support a cohesive and well orchestrated design, we recommend that FENNIE+MEHL Architects handle the selection, specification and coordination of the loose furniture in the "public" areas, so as to provide consistency with the architectural elements in those areas. This would typically include:

  • Design and Construction Documentation for a Main Reception Desk
  • Reception area furniture, seating, occasional tables , etc.
  • Training room furniture including any Demonstration Rooms, and Customer Center Rooms
  • Executive seating areas and Executive Conference room furnishings
  • Typical Conference Room table and chairs
  • Library Furniture including shelving units
  • Lunch room tables and chairs

In the event that the systems furniture is not already established, FENNIE+MEHL Architects can assist in helping a building owner or user select a systems manufacturer and typical cube arrangements as well.



ENGINEERING SERVICES

In the event a building owner or user elects to utilize consulting engineers for the design and documentation of the Mechanical , Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems in lieu of Design/Build subcontractors to the General Contractor, FENNIE+MEHL Architects can retain and supervise engineering services covering plumbing (with fire protection), mechanical, electrical, telecommunication, audio visual, and security systems.



BASE BUILDING SERVICES

Normal interior services are limited to Tenant Improvements within the area allotted by the building management or landlord and do not included any modifications to the Base Building elements (e.g. common toilet rooms, lobbies, roof or floor structures, etc.). Occasionally a tenant may negotiate various upgrades or changes to the Base Building, such as incorporation of skylights, windows, loading areas, capacity for 24 hour Air Conditioning equipment, etc. In this situation, these items should be designed along with the tenant improvements, and are typically incorporated in FENNIE+MEHL Architects' services.
