Cristiani’s Mobile Communications, the leading retail provider of wireless services in Arizona, selected FENNIE+MEHL Architects to design their flagship store and to develop better ways to achieve total customer satisfaction while providing the ultimate in products and services. The goal was to create an 1,800sf space into a retail environment that would draw customers into the store.

FENNIE+MEHL Architect’s design concept involved creating a bold and exciting retail environment that reflected the cutting edge nature of the products being marketed and sold. It is both modern and inviting, and incorporates an exciting mixture of color, texture, dramatic lighting and unique geometry utilizing a material palette of stainless steel, glass, aluminum, paint and carpet. Movement and action abound throughout the space with the inclusion of closed circuit flat screen monitors flooding their customers with images of the latest in wireless technology products.

A "store within-a-store" concept featuring separate retail areas for each major carrier was the primary organizing theme. The latest in wireless network technology was incorporated in the store, allowing their highly trained sales staff to make Point of Sales anywhere via lap tops. A centrally located bar/counter serving specialty espresso drinks and bottled water along with a number of movable satellite seating areas further help to create comfortable environments for customers and staff in which to discuss their cellular products and service plan options.
