Additional Information:
Located at The Landmark at One Market, in San
Francisco, Harb, Levy & Weiland is one of the top 25 certified public
accounting and consulting firms which provides financial services
industry expertise including audit, tax and consulting services to
investment advisors and securities partnerships worldwide. Excellent
design typically necessitates a committed client and the personal
involvement of the Managing Partner, Kathy Williams, was instrumental in
spurring the project team on to achieve a truly unique San Francisco
office experience.
Creating an open, welcoming, and rich environment that gestures to the
historic location was a priority for the design team. The corporate
offices occupy approximately 20,000 RSF in a building which has views of
the San Francisco Bay and the landmark Ferry Building across the
Embarcadero. In order to maximize those views and allow daylight to
penetrate the space through the perimeter partner offices, generous
amounts of strategically-located butt-glazing was utilized both in the
interior walls of the offices and the wall along the internal walkway.
A reception lobby that flows into the board room through large custom
pivoting glass doors maximizes the feeling of openness. Green building
materials, such as the bamboo flooring and carpets bring a warm and
natural feel to the interior, along with white marble which echos the
marble utilized in the ground floor building lobby. Exposed brick and
concrete columns reconnect the observer to the buildings distant past.
Indirect lighting and discontinuous ceiling planes imbue the office with
a sense of spaciousness not typically found in downtown class A
buildings.
